Laser Leg Vein Treatments in Ottawa

Are you seeking a non-invasive solution to reduce the appearance of superficial leg veins? At Natural Skin & Sole Wellness Clinic, we offer Elite IQ vascular laser treatments, designed to target and remove superficial leg veins, broken blood vessels, and spider veins. This advanced treatment uses the Nd:YAG laser, which targets broken leg veins. The laser energy is absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood, causing the vein walls to heat up and seal shut, effectively breaking down the damaged vessels. The body naturally reabsorbs these treated veins, making them gradually fade away.

One of the key benefits of our laser vein treatment is that it requires no incisions or injections, eliminating the risk of scarring or skin damage. The procedure is non-invasive, safe for all skin types, and delivers precise results. The Elite IQ technology ensures maximum comfort with minimal downtime, so you can achieve smoother, clearer skin without the need for surgery.

Before beginning treatment, you will undergo a comprehensive assessment with our Registered Nurse to determine if laser vein therapy is the right option for you. During this consultation, we will discuss the procedure in detail, answer any questions you may have, and assess your skin and vein condition to create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.

The number of sessions required varies based on factors such as the size, number, and location of the veins. Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

Laser vein treatments work by delivering pulses of light energy to the unwanted vein. The light hits the hemoglobin, heats up the vessels and coagulates the blood. This eventually destroys the blood vessels, causing the vein to shrink and diminish.

How long is a treatments?

Treatment lasts anywhere between 15–45 minutes, depending on the area treated.

What does it feel like?

Treatments are virtually painless but some patients have mentioned feeling tingling or the snapping of a rubber band. We use a cooling device and cooling gel to minimize your discomfort.

Am I a good candidate?

The best candidate is someone who has an uneven complexion, rosacea, hyperpigmentation with signs of discoloration, brown spots, sun damage, fine lines, or visible veins on their skin.

Is there any down time?

There is generally no downtime as most people return to their daily activities. Some individuals may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. These effects usually resolve within 1–2 days.

What areas can be treated?

Our Registered Nurse treats leg veins. For facial veins or any other concerns, please refer to our IPL photo rejuvenation treatments.

How many sessions are needed?

Everyone is different. A series of treatments may be recommended to achieve desired results. This depends also on the area of treatment, the number and the size of the veins. Sessions are booked every 6 weeks.

Is this covered by my health insurance?

Typically, cosmetic procedures are not covered by private health insurances. However, you will need to verify the details of your health care plan.
